What happens when the card you pull for daily inspiration turns up to be a really devastatingly negative card?
It is this possibility that often drives folks away from tarot, and causes them to fear the cards.
The problem is, as we all know, the cards never lie.
What we sometimes fail to remember is that each card is a message for healing.
The practice of pulling a Card of the Day (COTD) should not be looked at so much as a prediction. Rather, it is a comment, a focus, something to think about or something to work toward.
A card like the Ten of Swords could simply be a gentle suggestion that you are thinking too much, or letting other people’s words lay you low. It offers an alternative to pain and anxiety by reminding us that, when we suffer, we are often suffering at our own hand. Thus, we have the power to make it stop.
Every message from the tarot is a positive message, no matter how difficult the image may be.
